...and I am SO impressed!
First of all, I ordered TWO Baby Polly sets...can you believe both dds want these as their number one Christmas list request? Well, Polly is adorable, but small. I don't know why I expected her to be bigger. She is absolutely adorable. Her body is just like Bitty Baby (only maybe a bit more posable?) in miniature...so cute! Her face is beautiful (I think BBs face is a bit too serious, but this one is just precious. And her satin gown is scrumptious! Very long and so old fashioned. Incredible! Her cradle is very sweet, made of wood with the heavy paint/lacquer like Samantha's baby carriage (only the wood is much thicker). The only complaint I have is that she must be squished to fit in her cradle. Otherwise, her feet stick up...lol! And her head hits the top due to the soft mattress underneath. Somebody at AG needs to measure better...
OK, next I opened Elizabeth's doll...very pretty. Same as Felicity's doll...hope this ones limbs don't fall off! Beautiful curls in her hair and lovely dress. Very nice. I wouldn't have bought this because I thought it was overpriced, but younger dd really wanted it. Now I think it was probably worth it.
Then I opened Felicity's guitar. Oh...if you don't have this, you simply must get it! It is so pretty (OK, so yes, it is plastic, but it really doesn't look plastic except for the tuning dials or whatever they're called. I actually had to tap it to see if it really was plastic...it looked like wood) Now I actually have the original of this that I bought from PC way back when. I looked at it the other day and honestly, there was not a whole lot of difference. I bought the new one because I didn't dare give the PC one to my youngest. The strings really strumb! Oh so cute!
Lastly, I opened Noah's Ark. Incredible. I never bought this before and I have always regretted it. Wow! Now I know I had good reason to regret not getting it. It is incredibly detailed! All of those tiny little pieces...wow! Granted, I didn't take them all out of their sealed packages, but they looked nice to me. And the ark, I know everyone says it is plastic and I guess it must be, but it really looks like wood. So very pretty and detailed. Oh, and the top opens to fit Noah and his wife in and the best part is it attaches with two small strips of what look and feel like leather! So realistic looking for the colonial period!
So, once again I am thrilled with my order.
